Fitness bracelet HealBe GoBe still came out in people

The Russian startup HealBe has long promised to release the HealBe GoBe fitness tracker , which can measure not only steps, heart rate, but also pressure, as well as calorie content of foods eaten by the owner.

Yes, it is - not the number of calories burned (although this too), but the number of calories that have been ingested. At the same time, it was even promised to show the percentage of fats, proteins and carbohydrates. The release date of the bracelet was postponed several times, and the startup was generally suspected of fraud. As it turned out, it was completely in vain: Yesterday, one such fitness tracker, a very real and efficient device, arrived at the office of Medgadgets. Photos under the cut were taken in the office just this morning.



Now the device is undergoing a final run-in (on tested samples), and in a couple of weeks HealBe GoBe will be on sale. The current review is the first part of the description of the tracker, with a demonstration of its appearance and a description of the functions. What is a HealBe GoBe?

Externally, the device is different from any of the presented trackers. The front panel is slightly curved and more like a speaker. Interestingly, the design of the device was developed by the Italian designer Josef Frakis, who previously worked on the Motorola RAZR.



“Speaker” is a small display of the original form, which can show the time, calories consumed and burned. Unfortunately, there was no time to test the display, they worked mainly with the mobile application. A little later, photos of the working display will be posted.

HealBe GoBe Features

• Sleep quality detector;
• Heart rate monitor;
• Pressure meter;
• Blood sugar sensor (direct data are not shown, but are used to calculate the calorie content of consumed products);
• Pedometer;
• Hydration sensor (shows how much water the body needs);
• Distance sensor.

Calorie measurement of products is done by a manufacturer-patented company called Flow Technology. Earlier tests were conducted that showed the adequacy of the measurements. Medgadgets also performed a couple of measurements yesterday (eating a bar with a known caloric value and the ratio of carbohydrates, fats and proteins).



In principle, testing the capabilities of the tracker showed that all the declared functions are relevant. Later on Geektimes, a second version of the tests will be published, much more extended. Now they just tested the gadget in work, making sure it is working.

So far, there are some inaccuracies that are caused, firstly, by the desire to quickly check everything without reading the instructions, and secondly, a couple of small problems were found with the mobile application, but they will be fixed by releasing an update in two to three days.



All data from the HealBe GoBe is transmitted via Bluetooth to the mobile application on the smartphone. Even more advanced functionality is available at the HealBe GoBe web service.

When can I buy it?

The first batch of HealBe GoBe will appear in Moscow in mid-December (in any case, the manufacturer promises). The approximate price is about 16 thousand rubles (the price has been updated after a significant change in the exchange rate ).

This cost of the gadget is due to its functionality. In principle, this is not even a fitness tracker, but an almost medical device that can be used to fully control the activity of your body and check individual indicators.
