Copter Express creators fined for pizza delivery drones

Back in June , two news about pizza delivery by quadrocopters in Syktyvkar were published on Habré Giktayms. The first news was optimistic, it talked about a new delivery method. The second is already unhappy , it told that the author of the idea was forced to abandon the project and can be fined.

Today there was news that the creator of the company Copter Express, which delivered pizza to Syktyvkar using quadrocopters, was fined 50 thousand rubles. Oleg Ponfilenok received a message about the court order in the mail. It turned out that his actions are declared as "air transportation without a license."

According to the court, Oleg needed to issue several permits at once, including the use of airspace, a flight plan and a license for the carriage of goods by aircraft.

Of course, no one will give such permissions to the owner of the quadrocopter. "It is impossible to obtain a license for the transport of goods on a drone, and our copter is not suitable for the types of certified aircraft," Oleg said in his account on VK.

He will challenge the decision of the court, although the hopes for a positive outcome for the entrepreneur are minimal.
