Mosdroid # 6 - report
Hello! We are publishing the report from the meeting of the Mosdroid community , which was held in our office on March 3. Participants discussed the Spock framework, the nuances of securing android applications and CI processes, as well as held a round table “Autotests and Android”, where they shared their experience of using UI tests developed in projects of various sizes: from startups to large companies with dozens of full-time developers .
Under the cut - videos, presentations, links to the photo report and feedback from listeners.
“Spock and Android”, Alexander Ezhkov, Alfa Bank JSC
The report does not include an introduction to testing, step-by-step comparisons with other testing frameworks, benchmarks, and test run times - only a story about Spock. In practice, we analyze the work with the framework and decide whether it is suitable for our tasks:
Reviews:
Great report. Even if the topic is not the top one, it is very well built.
“CI processes in Android development by Avito”, Sergey Pinchuk, Avito
Sergey talks about Android development at Avito and shares practices that make team work easier. We speak in detail about the texts: when and which of them need to be launched and how much should they be trusted. The report also tells what problems the Avito team faced, how they were resolved, and what the guys wanted in the future.
Reviews:
- It was very interesting.
- Great manner of presentation! Very measured and thoughtful.
Round table "Auto tests and Android"
Alexander Smirnov, Alexander Ezhkov and Dmitry Voronin talk about Android auto tests. They share their experience in using UI tests developed in projects of various sizes: from start-ups to large companies with dozens of full-time developers, answer questions from the audience, extensively talk about the advisability of writing UI tests, possible pitfalls, and specifics of testing on real devices.
“(Not) Security 101”, Grigory Dzhanelidze, Mosdroid
And again, talking about security. Gregory talks about how you definitely don’t need to do it, how most likely you don’t have to do it, what tools exist for different tasks and ... how to live with it all.
Reviews:
- I returned my 2012 with decompilation of apksheks.
- I liked the performance, quickly and clearly.
