Mail.ru company is currently in court with the Federal Tax Service. The tax service believes that the holding did not pay about 11.6 million rubles to the treasury, reducing its income when calculating income tax, RBC reports . During the trial, documents were examined, according to which Igor Matsanyuk, a former top manager of the company, when leaving Mail.Ru in 2010 received a “golden parachute” in the amount of $ 1.7 million.

The court materials indicate that “the parties came to the agreement on the payment by the employer of funds to the employee in the amount of the ruble equivalent of 1,724,138 US dollars at the exchange rate of the Russian ruble of the Central Bank of Russia, established on the date of payment. ” At the time of July 12, 2010 it is 53 million rubles. (at the rate of 30.8 rubles per dollar set by the Central Bank).

The company’s labor contract with Igor Matsanyuk was concluded on April 16, 2009, and on July 12, 2010 the parties terminated this contract. At the same time, Mail.ru was supposed to pay 2/3 of the ruble equivalent of $ 1.7 million no later than 5 days from the date of signing the dismissal agreement.

In addition, on August 4, 2010, IT Territory CEO Alexander Vashchenko was fired. The total amount of payments to former employees from Mail.ru Games amounted to 57.8 million rubles. Based on this sum, it can be assumed that Vashchenko received a little less than 5 million rubles.

For the amount of these payments, the Mail.ru Group holding reduced its income when calculating income tax, which is disputed by the tax service of Russia.
