At the recent JPoint 2016 conference , held in Moscow, the majority of the leading “Debriefing” took part, almost all of them were speakers at the conference. Victor opened the conference in a keynote , talked about distributed caches and JCache, and took an active part in recording a live podcast release at StereoHall .

    About the report

The report was a review about the organization of distributed data in memory and distributed computing. The Hazelcast example shows the practical application of a product from this subject area. The title of the report hinted at a 1972 Woody Allen film Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex But Were Afraid to Ask. ( Everything you wanted to know about sex, but were afraid to ask ).

The meeting was attended by two other leading Debriefing - Alexey Abashev and Kirill Tolkachev. Cyril is just present in the picture below (from left to right - Andrey Kogun, Victor Gamov, Kirill Tolkachev).

The first part was an introduction to In-Memory Data Grids ( IMDG) During the break and after the report, one could talk with Victor and ask him questions.

The second part showed the use of Hazelcast , you can only watch the video, just watching the presentation will not help. There were also code examples and answers to questions. From the presentation, only two-thirds of the slides were shown, so the rest can be scrolled independently .

Presentation of the report is already available here . Photos and videos from the meeting will be available later in VK and G + . It is possible to subscribe to the newsletter of the following events jug.msk.ru
