Bagel, pixelart, space. “Wow, another planet!”

This is a post about developing a game.
Her genre is an ordinary bagel with the mechanics of cave exploration, dungeon crawler. However, I tried to do a couple of experiments with the gameplay.

Firstly, I refused a melee attack . You should know if you played roguelike before: take a step at the enemy and attack him. But I always considered this type of battle boring. By and large, when you are close to the enemy - nothing interesting happens. Your character hits, and the enemy hits. Where is the gameplay? Looking at a waning strip of health?

Instead, I tried to do this: a player can put mines . And the situation has changed. Now, instead of rapprochement, it is required to run away from the enemy. He has a melee attack left to himself. And I will say thatin my opinion, running away is generally more interesting than going closer.

The second feature is the construction and defense of the base. There is nothing too special here, but construction is rarely combined with exploring caves and finding resources like dungeon crawl. And even less often there is a real danger of the destruction of the base-building by enemies.

I recently uploaded the game to Greenlight. If you liked the idea and graphics, your voices are necessary for it to pass.
