Seventh annual Microsoft Research Summer School. This time about machine learning and intelligence

    On July 29, for the seventh time, the annual Microsoft Research Summer School will open in St. Petersburg . This time, the theme of the school is machine learning and intelligence . The school program includes lectures and seminars by world-class scientists from leading universities from around the world, including from Russia, as well as Microsoft Research researchers. The head of the school is Evelyn Viegas, director of semantic computing at Microsoft Research Redmond. Details under the cut.



    Applications from students, graduate students and young scientists are accepted until March 31. You can submit them in the registration system .
    Education at school is free, but you need to try to pass the selection, for nonresident participants free meals and accommodation are also organized.

    Microsoft summer schools have been held for more than 7 years in various cities of Russia. Schools have always been devoted to the key topics of Computer Science: HPC, computer vision, verification, algorithms for processing large amounts of data, parallel computing, clouds. In 2014, more than 600 applications were received, of which 62 young scientists were selected (40% were students and 60% were graduate students). By the way, the fifth part is of the fairer sex. In general, more than 400 young scientists from around the world took part in Microsoft Summer Schools in Russia.
