Fighting sms while driving
Hello, Habr!
Returning to the issue of road safety, which I mentioned earlier in a post about talking while driving : there is another idea related to using a smartphone while driving.
On Long Island, they came up with a good way to deal with amateur sms drivers. Just as the car will not start due to the alcohol sensor, because of this application the driver will not be able to chat or write on the phone.

The idea is for violators to realize the seriousness of their misconduct. The proposal consists of several points, including the installation of an application that automatically disables the ability to communicate while driving. To this end, the initiator of the law, the district attorney Caitlin Rice, has already written to Google, Apple, Microsoft and Blackberry, asking for their ability to include such an application in the number of pre-installed programs.
Text messages while driving in recent years are a serious problem. According to the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, a phone driver is just as dangerous as a drunk driverwith a grenade monkey .
