The VMware Community published a message from Mike Foley, author of the permanent vSphere Hardening Guide that the new version of Hyde is now available for download .

The vSphere Hardening Guide is a collection of information on vulnerabilities, types of operations that eliminate these vulnerabilities, procedures for assessing compliance with safety standards, etc. The document is made in the form of an Excel workbook, each page corresponds to a type of virtual infrastructure object (VM, ESXi, vNetwrok, vCenterServer, VUM, SSO, WebClient, VCSA).


For each object, all types of operations are listed that allow maintaining compliance with security policies, the versions of the objects to which these operations are applicable are indicated, their brief descriptions are given, as well as procedures to check whether the operation was performed or not.
