Microsoft will return the usual Start for Windows 8

Today, The Verge published information that Microsoft is going to return the classic Start menu to Windows 8. According to the publication, the company is going to return Start in the second major update for Windows 8.1, which is scheduled for August this year. The new menu will look like a cross between the one used in Windows 7 and Windows 8.

Earlier this month, the company released the mandatory cumulative update KB2919355 for Windows 8.1, which introduced such changes to the interface as the usual close buttons and “minimize” for Metro applications (aka Modern UI), and also changed the method of loading the user's desktop bypassing the Start menu in the style of Modern UI.
