Flickr supports machine tags
Flickr Photo Service has announced support for so-called “machine tags,” that is, tags with multiple sublevels. The innovation is mainly focused on developers.
"Machine Tags" (also called triples) consist of three parts. The first - "namespace" (namespace) - determines which class the tag belongs to. The second, called the predicate, indicates the properties that the first part has. The third is meaning. Functionality is provided by the Flickr API.
The site has previously allowed informal use of machine tags, for example, “geo: lon =” and “geo: lat =”. Now any syntax restrictions have been removed.
flickr: user = straup
flora: tree = coniferous
medium: paint = oil
geo: cartier = "plateau mont royal"
geo: neighborhood = geo: cartier
