Samsung introduced a new line of LED components for smartphones and tablets

At the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Samsung Electronics presented a wide range of the latest LED components for advanced mobile devices - smartphones and tablets. Samsung's new products included two LED flash units with a built-in reflector ─ 3432 1.8t (FH341A) and 3432 1.4t (FH341B), an LED flash with flip-chip assembly 2016 (FH201A), as well as two side LEDs ─ 3810 0.6t (MS062F) and 3810 0.8t (MS082F).

It's no secret that the cameras of modern smartphones are increasingly striving to replace individual cameras ... and gradually succeed in this. But in order to withstand competition, they need a wider viewing angle for high quality images. Samsung’s new LED flash units are designed to provide mobile users with a wider viewing angle by integrating a light source, body, and reflector with their own optics and diffusion features.
The new 3432 1.8t (FH341A) flash delivers more than 165 lux of illumination at 1 A and a minimum CRI of 80, ensuring high-quality images in daylight and night. The novelty will be used in flagship smartphones starting this year.
Another 34321.4t (FH341B) flash was developed specifically for very fine technology. The thickness is only 1.4 mm - a good indicator for smartphones and tablets not thicker than 7 mm. The minimum level of illumination is 165 lux.

Flash 2016 (FH201A) uses proprietary technology for filling assemblies with a phosphor, which is applied in a thin layer to each assembly. It is extremely flexible and guarantees a light output of 220 lm, reducing color deviation by 40% compared to previous versions of flashes in which a phosphor was applied to each chip. This LED solution also provides high color accuracy, which is a rarity for most modern LED products.

The line of new LED components also includes two side LEDs - 3810 0.6t (MS062F) and 3810 0.8t (MS082F), which provide high color reproducibility and brightness level. New items are energy efficient, successfully operating at voltages less than 2.9 V. Samsung 3810 0.6t guarantees a luminous intensity of 3.1 cd at a z-height of only 0.6 mm, which is also optimal for thin smartphones and tablets. 3810 0.8t provides an increased light intensity of 3.2 cd with a thickness of only 0.8 mm.
Mass production of the above LED solutions for mobile devices will begin in March this year.
