Today, at IFA 2018 in Berlin, Huawei introduced the new Kirin 980 mobile chip - with a special emphasis on AI. The first device on this processor will appear on October 16 - it will be Mate 20. Last year it happened the same way: first they showed the processor, and after a couple of months - a new smartphone. In addition, they showed a smart speaker based on assistant Alex and a keychain tracker called Locator.
