The digest of news from the world of mobile payments # 2
We present to your attention another digest of the most interesting, in our opinion, news over the past week.

Companies Kalixa Group is , DeviceFidelity's and MasterCard announced the launch in the UK mobile wallet for iPhone with support for NFC. The functionality of the wallet with the speaking name Moneto is standard: payment of purchases, money transfer, checking the status of the account, etc.
Currently, iCaisse is required for making payments , iPhone case with built-in NFC chip, but it is clear that Moneto is aimed at iPhone 5S . By the way, the developers promise to launch a service in Europe in the future and add support for the Android platform.

Isis , a joint venture of Verizon , AT&T, and T-Mobile , announced the launch of its NFC mobile wallet before the end of this year. At this point, it is planned to significantly expand the number of supported issuing banks and trade and service enterprises.
The Isis Mobile Wallet payment system , according to the three operators, is now ready for implementation worldwide, however, while the launch is planned only in the United States. Perhaps this is the right decision - to initially debug the system in the home market, where Isis provided all the necessary support from the project participants.

Google in May 2013 introduced the function of sending and receiving mobile payments through Gmail mailboxes. Now the function is available for a much larger number of users; they have already received relevant invitations to their mailboxes.
The Google Wallet for Gmail extension made it possible, like regular files, to attach money to an email. You can, for example, pay in this way the services of a freelancer, and he will receive money at the same time as a positive assessment of his work.

In the last digest, we talked about the fact that the iPhone 5S will receive an NFC chip and a fingerprint scanner. And in the iOS 7 Beta 3 update, a biometric scanner interface was discovered, which, apparently, will be built into the Home button. In this case, it will be possible to control not only the payment, as previously assumed, but access to the device as a whole. Fans of Apple will appreciate this opportunity - many of them use an additional pincode lock to protect personal photos and important information.
It is not yet clear whether it is possible to add several fingerprints to the system (in the case when the smartphone has to be taken in a different, unusual hand or for the implementation of the parental control function when the child is allowed to access the device), but new iPhones can provide a whole new level of protection mobile payments.

The other day, Yahoo! acquired a startup Lexity , founded in 2009 and has already raised $ 5.7 million as an investment. Lexity is developing online business applications aimed at increasing sales - from advertising to customer support.
The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed, nor is there any information about the changes that will affect Lexity. The startup team continues its work and expects rebranding in the coming months. Perhaps then it will become clear why Yahoo! turned its attention to the field of e-commerce.

Apple issued the MFi certificate to the Chinese manufacturer PAX Technology , according to which PAX terminal models D200 and D210 can work with any Apple technology that supports payment applications. For the Chinese company, this is a huge step forward - now certified products of the company will have the inscription “Made for Apple” and will be used worldwide.
Small businesses also have interesting opportunities. Now there is no need to conclude an agreement with banks and install POS-terminals, it is enough to have an iPad and mPOS-terminal from PAX Technology to accept payments to your e-wallets.
What interesting, in your opinion, still happened in the world what is worth paying attention to?
