Computer Status Video Report 1991

Hello, habralyudi sitting at their monitors in such a hot time, instead of swimming somewhere in the ocean.
To my surprise (and great joy), the previous post was very popular and got on the main page of the Habr, and the film mentioned in it was watched almost 7 thousand times. Let me remind you that the post was about the youtube channel of Soviet educational films, and in particular, the 28-minute cinema masterpiece “Students on Computer Science and Computers” was offered for viewing.
Over the past two and a half months, our video archive has decently replenished, and currently has more than 120 educational films of the broadest subjects. You can view the contents of the archive hereIn addition to educational films, there are rare materials from the history of Russian television in the 90s, such as B. Yeltsin’s congratulations on the New Year 1994, screensavers of current television channels at that time, and other interesting things. By the way, three videotapes with the most rare television material from the 90s are now being processed, so I recommend subscribing to the channel for those interested in the history of our TV so as not to miss something hot. But back to the subject of Habr.

I want to bring to your attention the film "Computers and Us", in an optimistic manner, telling about the achievements in all of our beloved industry from the point of view of the distant 1991. You will see not only all kinds of ancient computers (mostly PC-compatible, but there is definitely one ancient Mac there), not only dot-matrix printers and plotters, not only the robotic production of ultramodern VAZ cars of the 8th model, not only taxi and traffic police database operators, but and deaf and dumb children, the completely deserted Nevsky Prospect (shot from the Volga GAZ-24), the first Moscow McDonald's, and a working computer, it is not clear why it was placed in an aquarium with fish at the COMTEK '91 exhibition.
    Happy viewing!
