- The registration of new users has been stopped, but former users can continue to use the service in the normal mode: create, delete and organize their notes ( hereinafter referred to as clips );
- Those. support stops; tickets for clips are no longer accepted;
- Plugins and widgets are not available for installation;

What is it and what does it eat with
The free clipboard.com service was designed to store clips. At the touch of a button, the user was asked to save any content: from interesting articles and scientific papers to images, links, texts, and even web pages. All clips are carefully stored as a gallery in your account on the site. In addition, the service allowed you to upload photos and pictures from a computer, create online photo albums. A great feature and rarity was that the service was completely free.
Success and gratitude
In almost 2 years of operation, 140,000 people have created about 3 million clips and more than a million people have used them . The service became the winner and winner of the " Readers ' Choice 2013 " award , held on about.com ( where, incidentally, Evernote participated ). It was used by such companies as Apple, Google and Microsoft in various marketing companies, for which the authors thank for their support and choice. They also thank everyone who took part in the work of the service, including a group of developers, users, the press, bloggers and all those who made an invaluable contribution to the development of the service. The Clipboard team assures everyone that it will continue its mission of organizing online notes, only as part of salesforce.com( which is likely to affect paid subscription ). Clipboard's CEO, Gary Flake, will be vice president of development at salesforce.com , and will be joined by a core team of developers and designers.
I would like to note that not so long ago ( in February and March ) a number of serious updates were released aimed at improving the service. The interface, the logic of the application was redesigned, the ability to download images from a computer and sorting by boards was added.
Users have already managed to ask a lot of questions regarding the closure of the service. Answers to the most common ones can be found in the special FAQ section.
In the photo below - the development team on the eve of the day of publication of the sad news.

“We want to express our deep gratitude to our users. Your suggestions, fillings and general interaction among themselves were oxygen for our development. You inspired us, and we hope that you have made your life on the Internet a little better, very useful, successful and even a little fun.
It's time to say goodbye. ”
