Coworking in Saratov - birth report
In mid-January, I wrote a post in which I proposed in Saratov to do coworking for local keyboard and mouse masters. Then I promised to tell what will come of this venture. And now my hands reached to write a report on how it was.
For the most impatient, I’ll say right away - we did it! The further text can be considered as a manual for building do-it-yourself coworking.
About 10 days after the post on the habr, I collected enough requests from potential coworkers so that we had enough to occupy a whole table in a cafe, where the first meeting of coworkers took place. 7 people came to that meeting. After drinking coffee and getting to know each other, it was decided what coworking to be. This decision started the turbid phase of the emergence of coworking called "Office Search", at which some of the participants in the cafe meeting fell off. Initially, we looked for an office in the center on the Internet and in newspapers, but many proposals inadequate to our financial capabilities and aesthetic feelings forced us to expand our geography of searches. There was even a funny moment when the landlord led us into some kind of barn or crib in the center of the city and to our reasonable question “when will we go to look at the office?” He could only mutter that “this, and we are already in the office ”:) However, once all entertainment comes to an end, and in the end we found a room. As it happens (taking into account our budget constraints), it was unsuitable for immediate use on a coworking assignment and a new phase of “Getting Started” began. We collected money, imported furniture, bought mops, napkins and chairs, on the street the dog bit and tore a piece from my jeans when I went to connect the Internet (I connected the Internet that day, right in ripped jeans) :) But we also tested these passed and at one fine moment, which happened on February 25 of this year, the coworking in Saratov earned! We did this by putting together a team along the way. it was unsuitable for immediate use for its intended purpose as a coworker, and a new phase of “Let's Start” began. Since the initial task was to make coworking for ourselves so that it was comfortable to work in it, we built it as a club. New coworkers are invited upon approval by the current. We arranged kebabs and poker on Friday, going to a pizza party with the mafia and participated in the tender for the development exclusively by coworkers. Coworking is now exactly the way I imagined it when I wrote that post. I enjoy going to work every day, which I have not noticed for many years.
And yet, if you plan to open your coworking, then know that it is at least hemorrhoids, but in the end these efforts pay off. It's great when cool people work with you, with whom you together could do something good. And yes, if you are planning to do your coworking - contact, write in a personal email, I will gladly share the experience that I managed to get.

PS And in the most prominent place in coworking we have a hefty pirate flag.
PPS When we finally settle down and make repairs in cheerful colors - I will lay out the pictures and talk about it.
PPPS You can contact me in the LAN on the hub or in the mail .
