Exhibitions in China - 48 hours from idea to launch

The “ Exhibitions in China ” service is an online calendar of the main industry and international exhibitions in China, with the ability to synchronize with mobile devices via Google Calendar. By the nature of my activity, I often visit specialized exhibitions in China, of which a huge number is held here annually. The popularity of these events, as well as the number of people who come to these parts with working visits from all over the world, is growing year by year. For some, the exhibition is an opportunity to find suppliers and manufacturers in China, meet potential partners, test product samples and conclude cooperation agreements on the spot. For others, it’s a convenient way to enter international markets and present their own products.

The main centers of Chinese expo life are Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Hong Kong.

The Pazhou exhibition complex in Guangzhou is the venue for the famous Canton Fair.

If you use the search engine, you can find quite a few sites that offer information on Chinese exhibitions with the ability to select events by product category or industry. The “Exhibitions in China” service differs from them only in that it displays the schedule of events in the form of a calendar created using Google. Calendar, and the ability to quickly add any event to your mobile device, also using Google.

This way to track Chinese exhibitions and plan your schedule can be useful not only to me - the idea was born to make such a service. 48 hours have passed from the idea to the launch. It all started on Friday night and Monday morning, the site of the "Exhibitions in China" was already working. A little later, I implemented the event broadcast on Twitter.

I think the project will be useful to many, especially to people who plan to make a business visit to China. After all, the topic of China or production in China periodically pops up on a hub
