Starting today, an update begins for smartphones running Windows Phone 7.5 to OS Windows Phone 7.8.
The following models will receive the update: Nokia Lumia 610, 710, 800 and 900.
What will be included in the update:
Starting today and until the end of February, you will receive a message about the availability of Windows Phone 7.8. Just connect the phone through Zune to the computer and follow the instructions on the screen.
The update will be distributed in waves, the delivery time for a new version of the software may take up to 3 weeks.

- Updated start screen - the working screen will become wider due to the placement of tiles similar to Windows Phone 8, the tiles will receive three sizes;

- New features - the "Counters" application to control the flow of traffic, SMS and MMS, new color themes in the settings - 20 themes versus 11 in Windows Phone 7.5;
- New photo capabilities - “Live Photos” will allow you to create animated photos, “Photobeamer” - show your photos on the screen of another device connected to the Internet;
- Distribution of the Internet with the function "General Internet";
- Dynamic Bing wallpapers on the lock screen;
