Ministry of Economic Development is going to fight with torrents

The Ministry of Economic Development has included in the draft guidelines for the activities of the Russian government for the period up to 2018 an item on combating the distribution of illegal content. The fight against torrents, according to the ministry, is one of the tasks within the framework of the "area of ​​ensuring safe Internet." Along with the destruction of p2p networks, it is proposed to develop content filtering systems and strengthen the fight against child pornography.

Interestingly, along with the aforementioned sad measures and documents, it is envisaged to simultaneously attract and stimulate citizens to use the Internet. It is expected that the percentage of active network users will rise from 42% to 77%.
