One of the largest Beanstalk VCS providers lies on its side

It so happened that he sat working, dabbled there with branches, etc. and then after another manipulation, the console gives me an angry notification, saying that I can’t update from the source. I thought it over, tried it one more time - the effect is the same. I climbed on the beanstalk itself to deal with the keys but it wasn’t there!

For those who do not know what beanstalk is, I will briefly tell you, this is one of the largest repo providers. They provide git, svn, mercurial repositories. But this is not just storage, it is also a convenient service for uploading to servers, etc. (you must admit that each time you go to the console and click on the update piddle is not a selfie, and besides, it doesn’t work badly via FTP).
After I saw this beautiful welcome message, I thought that on Thursday, the day of updates for many large companies, let it be updated, I waited a little more and then I was alerted that there was no hint in this message about the update. I got into their tweeter and found another message

that surprised one of the largest services, has been working since 2007 and twists databases in MySQL. Of course, given the specifics of his work, he doesn’t need a special performance, but considering how much data is spinning in DB, 2 thoughts arise:
    • MySQL is not so bad as they say about it, since the largest services trust it. Many say "why not use PostgreSQL instead of MySQL"
    • Even large companies make mistakes, but sometimes some mistakes are cinematic (like this one)

In fact, I usually choose MySQL myself, probably because I'm used to it. Relatively simple SQL.
While this article was being written, guys fix it. They were repaired exclusively in Russian, they just rebooted the server (well, so they wrote on Twitter)
