Kindle DX leaves the ranks of E-Ink readers?

Looking through Amazon, I noticed that the Kindle DX was handed down to the top of the page of the Kindle series with a new price - $ 299. It previously sold for $ 379. It seems that this decline is permanent, as there is no mention of a sale or a special price.
Kindle DX has been abandoned and forgotten by Amazon for over 2 years, now its software is outdated in comparison with new models. It is even inferior in the characteristics of the Kindle Keyboard, and since then 4 new E-Ink readers have been released. Amazon did not mention the DX model in press releases, however, they continued to sell it.
Even for $ 299, I find no good reason to buy an outdated DX instead of the 8.9 ″ Kindle Fire HD for the same price. This is a kind of insanity if you think about it, if you really do not need a 9.7 ″ E-Ink reader with minimal functionality.
However, it will be interesting to see what the price reduction actually means. Maybe Amazon’s plans to finally release an updated DX model, possibly with a Paperwhite display. Or having sold all of the Kindle DX at a discounted price, it will curtail production of the DX model altogether.
Some of this should happen, since they cannot always sell DX with its current functionality. The Paperwhite Kindle DX would be a good addition to the Kindle family.
The end of the translation.
Indeed, it would be great if Amazon Paperwhite Kindle DX were released, for I couldn’t find an alternative to the 9 "reader, and stood out from the whole DX line only by the size of the screen. And there is hope for this, since I didn’t find news about the cessation of production of this model .
