Raspberry Pi from Newark (USA)

Hello everybody.
It has long been noticed that many have a problem with ordering a Raspberry Pi from England (Farnell.com store). Actually, the problem is not so much with the order and delivery, but with the availability of goods on sale (the track code itself has been lying around for three months already). And on ebay, where prices are traditionally dictated by popularity and affordability, you risk paying double the cost. Therefore, to those who still do not know, I am reporting an alternative: the Newark.com store in the USA. Well, under the cut a couple of words about "how everything is there."
Start and Aspects
After the wait for the Raspberry Pi at Farnell was already unbearable, I visited the store of the second official distributor - Newark. However, he, too, like Farnell, is part of the element14 group. And, of course, mentioned on the Raspberry Pi team site.
Along the way, it turned out 3 points:
- There is no such bad excitement as in Farnell. Of course, it’s not always in stock either, but you can stop by and buy without extra gestures (numbers, lines, etc.) when the party has arrived. At the time of my spontaneous visit, about 100 were in stock.
- The date of the next receipt is indicated more accurately than in Farnell (at the time of writing it is October 28, 2012). This is much better than "about 2 weeks." Whether the store adheres to the established deadlines - I find it difficult to say. But from the experience of trading with the Americans - should b.
- It turns out cheaper. On taxes. Even taking into account the fact that I made a mistake when choosing a mail service, it turned out cheaper.
True, there is one subjective plus in Farnell to Newark: in Newark, salespeople are not so pleasant, and the sales process is not as pleasant as in Farnell. I love when they sell me professionally and beautifully. And Farnell in comparison with Newark in this - the gods. But this is subjective.
Checkout
The process, in general, is the most common. Registration, selection of a position and quantity, rejection of related products and special sellers, choice of a delivery service, payment from a card.
There may be problems with the delivery service. The picklist is a droplist with 40+ positions. At what 99% of the names I did not hear at all. Perhaps that’s why I was mistaken: instead of Economy Int'l Shipping (either not at all, or blinked, or just something stuck in my head) I chose USPS Priority Mail. At prices, the difference is natural:
- Economy for Small Pack in Ukraine is about $ 6-8;
- Priority - somewhere around $ 40 ($ 39.55 to be precise. I found out this amount much later than the payment from the store manager, and then I read it on the arrived box).
If you can’t figure it out and don’t want to put yourself on the cost of another device, feel free to consult the store’s specialists. Googletranslate, I think they will understand.
Cash moments
After placing the order does not show the final cost, including delivery. This is mega-inconvenient. Payment for 2 Raspberry Pi (model B) blocked the amount of $ 90.30 on the card. Not the most difficult mathematics says that:
$ 90.30 - $ 39.55 = $ 50.75 / 2 = ~ $ 26
Savings, as I suspect, arise from tax avoidance (VAT, maybe some) . It may turn out to Russia in some other way, but to Ukraine it turned out that way.
Delivery period
Exactly 10 days have passed from the moment of payment until receipt at the post office in Kiev.
Packaging and contents
In this form, everything fell into my hands:

Cash moments - 2
There is a little misunderstanding with the calculations. Initially, $ 90.30 was blocked on the map, as I already wrote. This amount is still locked and not written off completely.
Somewhere after a week after placing the order, another $ 109.55 was tried to write off. Those. 35 + 35 + 39.55. It didn’t work out (the card was blocked for international payments).
I wrote to them, saying so and so. They told me that, you say, do not worry, we wrote off 109 from you, and those 90 will return back after a while. How much I did not try to explain that they did not write off the second 109, and the first 90 were under-written, they stubbornly refused to understand me.
In the end, I got tired of it, and I just asked the seller: "Do I owe you any more money?" He replied: "No, the full amount has been paid in full." So now I’m still watching a couple of months, what will happen with the blocked amount of $ 90, the plot will get some further development.
Instead of an epilogue
Use, dear. Diversify, so skzat. Quite a normal fallback. They count money in Newark, of course, a little through one place, but, most importantly, in our favor.
And of course, I will answer questions, if any arise from anyone.
