Badoo Office

Come under the cat, meet you. Badoo's
Moscow office (official website) is located on Tsvetnoy Boulevard, in the large Legend of Tsvetnoy business center. I was here recently - on the ground floor of this business center is BMW Studio 7, where their new model was recently announced .
Badoo occupies almost the whole floor - the total office area is about 1200 meters. They moved here recently, in August. But the office does not seem deserted at the same time - they managed to get on well with it.
So, let's begin. The first thing that employees of the company and guests who come to the office see is the reception. Clickable: The backlight is implemented quite interestingly - the company's LED logo is located behind thick frosted glass, due to which effective dispersion is achieved. Have you noticed that the table is a little “crooked”? This is not an accident. Pretty soon, involuntarily, you pay attention to the “wrong” forms of all the premises - all this is the result of the work of the Za Bor design studio, which were applied to the creation of the Moscow office of the company (and to the offices of several other companies, for example, Yandex around the world).

What else immediately attracts attention? The fact that the interior has a large number of fresh flowers and plants, they are literally everywhere: at the entrance, at dining tables, in meeting rooms, on the walls. One would think that only girls work in the company, but, looking ahead, this is not so.

It's not just about boring ficuses or "bamboos" from Ikea, but about large and beautiful bouquets made by florists - who gives flowers to girls knows that such a pleasure is not cheap. But a company with a multimillion-dollar audience can well afford it - specially trained people are responsible for the beauty.

The keen eye of the habrayuzer probably noticed the glass doors immediately behind the reception? More precisely, the inscription on them is Server room. Server rooms are usually allowed very reluctantly, but not in this case; here is the opposite - "come in, go in!" and even turned on the light.

Server data is used exclusively for internal office needs.
Further, all the photos go in the order in which we walked around the office. We started with a large and spacious kitchen with panoramic glazing - it is always bright and comfortable there.

Tables with flowers and fruits, and on the other hand - a refrigerator, cutting board and other kitchen utensils - very homely.

A fauna was added to the office flora - an aquarium with goldfish was built into one of the walls. I made a wish, I’m waiting for it to come true.

The most attentive ones could notice a piece of the projector screen in this photo - it drops down if necessary and there are television broadcasts or Friday movie screenings.

There is also a neat balcony with a beautiful view of the area. Beauty is clickable: Despite the presence of high chairs on the balcony, smoking is not allowed here - there is a separate place for this. And so, breathe the air.

At the moment, the company has 95 employees, of which 85 are programmers. This composition draws on the title of Badoo Development - the rest of the administrative staff. We talked about girls above, there are no more, no less, as many as 6 - apparently, they are in the company like sacred animals, worth its weight in gold.
By and large, the office is a spacious open-space, in which only in some places there are walls. Workplaces (photo at the time of opening the office).

And with employees: The

average programmer’s workplace consists of a desk, a comfortable chair and a computer suitable for tasks. If pathos and shocking reigned everywhere in the Vkontakte office , then everything is somewhat different - it is the work process that comes to the fore, nothing more.

On the large marker board in the developers room, someone took the oath before we arrived.

“Sishniks” occupied a separate space in the office space with gray concrete walls.

I liked the solution with partitions between the tables - they have grooves on which you can move various things: cups for pencils, marker boards, lamps, and so on. I saw a similar solution only at Herman Miller , whose products are actively used in the Badoo office.

By the way, remember ?

Politically correct (with Toaster notebook) Xek - he used to work at Habr, then we did Trendclub with him and now he works at Badoo.

Hake's harsh screen:

Almost every company has a TV on which secret information is displayed - each time it is asked not to take pictures and every time I take pictures of it. But in the publication, as always, nothing is visible.

The office has 5 meeting rooms, each of which has its own name - according to the type of places where you can spend time. Well, or make new friends.
Library A meeting room whose interior design is a bit like a library.

Cinema. This room is already decorated in the form of a cinema.

In each room, as a rule, there is at least one wall with a “function” of a whiteboard - so that someone accidentally does not write with a marker on the projector screen (apparently, there was a case), they hid it behind curtains.

This is quite a cinema - you can display the image from the projector on the screen (which, although it hangs very close, but performs its function). A PS prefix is connected to it, in which employees sometimes play.

Bar. As you might guess, this is a bar - one of the walls is made in the form of a bar, on which there are bottles. Decorative - no alcohol inside.

Park. Instead of a piece of the park, there is, perhaps, the corresponding photo wallpaper and a carpet in the form of green grass.

Night club - everything is clear here too. A room with pieces of nightlife - not enough glass ball on the ceiling.

Quite an interesting solution with meeting rooms - earlier I had occasion to see unless there were different names for the rooms, but not different interior designs.
In one of the corridors there are three telephone boxes - a tribute to the "English roots" of the company. You can meditate inside, but it’s too early - they have recently been painted and now they are ventilated due to the “eggs” from HM.

I really liked the office - nothing to do with what I saw earlier. It seems that you are no longer in Russia - something like this can usually be found except in some Europe. Drive around the office just right on the segway, but for now it's simpler - there are several scooters instead.

If someone rolls and sweats, there is a shower - only for this “option” in the office I would give a lot.

Again, fresh flowers:

Another of the attractions is a dart board, table tennis and game consoles; anything else may appear later - there seems to be a place.

In the last room, I managed to take only two photos, after which the camera depended on the concentration of smoke in the smoking room. For nicotine

UFO-style drawing:

In general, as in any large company, branding is very developed here - the company logo shows off almost everywhere, wherever possible. For example, “Tsiska”:

Or stickers on the front door of the office:

There is even a separate wall on which employees and guests are photographed - I decided to take a photo as a keepsake)

By the way, not so long ago in an informal setting I was invited to work in a company - if I hadn’t already had a wonderful job, I would have agreed without hesitation :) I believe that in addition to everything seen above, working in Badoo has a lot of advantages, so the advice is if they call, do not try to refuse!
