Google Inc. acquires VirusTotal

A well-known service that aggregates definitions of viruses and other malware from information security companies has become a daughter of Google. VirusTotal management has already announced that the service will continue to operate as usual and will comply with all existing agreements, as well as maintain relative autonomy from Google. Nevertheless, it is expected to move to the cloud infrastructure of the search giant to increase the speed of the service.
I hope that with this takeover, the Google Safebrowsing filters, as well as the Google Play Bouncer mechanism, will start to work much more efficiently.
