Windows 8 Release Preview, Visual Studio 2012 RC, Windows Server 2012 RC, and TFS 2012 RC released
Today, Windows 8 Release Preview is available for download in 14 languages, including Russian. According to Steve Sinofsky, RTM will already follow her, so there’s not much to wait. Let me remind you that the release of Release Preview was scheduled for the first week of June this year, respectively. Windows Server 2012 RC and Visual Studio 2012 RC became available a little earlier.
If the feedback and telemetry data for Windows 8 and Windows RT meet our expectations, we will move on to the final stages of the RTM process within 2 months .
The Release Preview (build 8400) itself was compiled a week ago. The rest of the time was spent creating localized assemblies and preparing for distribution. By the way, the Chinese version, merged this morning, has a similar build number.
Unfortunately, there is no Changelog yet. Upgrading from Developer or Customer Preview will fail.
The translucency of the windows, judging by the screenshot of the Chinese assembly, left:

The link contains the “Upgrade to Windows 8 Assistant”, which will check the system for compatibility and start the download itself from Microsoft servers. But the download speed is now low (at least for me), so I recommend torrents accordingly.
