Google builds another data center in Oklahoma, USA

It seems that the Corporation Good is doing well. In general, despite some temporary difficulties with new projects (Google Wallet, Google Plus), the company works (and makes money) very well. In connection with the emergence of new services and users, the company management decided to build another data center, this time in the US, Oklahoma.

This state already has one data center, and at first it was decided to simply strengthen the capacity of this center. But a little later, the management decided to build another one with the first data center. Thus, the capacity will be doubled. They will not hire a large number of people, an additional 50 people will be hired.

According to experts, the construction of a new data center will cost about $ 700 million. Currently, about 100 people work in the Oklahoma data center. The center itself serves to work with information from services such as Gmail, Google Maps, Google Search and Google Plus. With the addition of another data center, workers receive a cafe, a gym, a games room, and all related benefits.

About US $ 600 million was spent on data center No. 1 from Oklahoma. Now the amount is slightly higher due to the fact that the data center No. 2 will be more "advanced", and not only in terms of technology, but also ergonomics and design.
