March 28 version of Google Chrome 18 appeared in a stable channel and is already installed on the computers of most users of Chrome. Among the various improvements in the new version should be emphasized rendering with hardware acceleration Canvas2D under Windows OS and the X the Mac . Thanks to GPU-acceleration, Canvas2D will work faster in a browser, which will improve the performance and quality of HTML5 games and other web applications.

In addition to Canvas2D, the latest version of Chrome has launched the SwiftShader software rasterization engine for WebGL. The engine is licensed by TransGaming and provides WebGL on older computers that do not support WebGL hardware acceleration.
