Firefox 13 will not work with older versions of Windows

Mozilla representatives recently made an interesting statement regarding support for the new version of Firefox, Firefox 13, in older versions of Windows. In this case, “obsolete versions” are not considered to be 95, 98, etc., but Windows 2000, Windows XP and XP SP1.

Starting with Windows XP SP2, Firefox 13 will already work. Of course, this browser will work with newer operating systems. According to the developers, such a measure will improve the performance of Firefox. The release of the new version is scheduled for June 4 this year, so it is recommended that all Windows XP users who work with Mozilla software install the service packs necessary for the browser to work soon.

Currently, XP remains the most popular OS (in any case, at the beginning of the year it was such). Despite all the attempts of Microsoft Corporation to stimulate the transition of users to Windows 7, many simply do not see the point in the transition (or this transition is economically disadvantageous in the case of some companies).

Mozilla also announced its intention to discontinue support for Firefox 3.6 from the end of April this year (to be precise, from April 24). Within a few weeks, Mozilla will release the latest version of the browser branch 3.6.x, it will be version 3.6.28. Other versions of this thread will not be released.
