RIPE NCC Password Usage Policy Update

The RIPE NCC Regional Internet Registrar has revised its password policy in its database. Due to the fact that public MD5 hashes can be vulnerable, now they are visible only to the maintainer-y of the object, after authorization. Also, a new functionality has been added to the Webupdates interface that allows you to change passwords right there, without resorting to third-party services to generate hashes. It looks like this after authorization:

Separately, RIPE NCC emphasizes that this is not a mandatory requirement for changing passwords, but a new tool for working with them (and a good reason to change them for those who were previously difficult or lazy to do).
