Odnoklassniki will open to search engines - index all (almost all)

I was long (and pleasantly) surprised by the fact that the content from Odnoklassniki is available only within the network and is not indexed by search engines. And now, Odnoklassniki decided to join other social networks on the principle of "Now they counted you indexed."

    Briefly (according to lenta.ru):

Mail.Ru search engine will start indexing pages first, in a week user profiles will become available to Yandex, and later to other services. Search engines will index only some user data: name, gender, age, profile photo and the number of communities in which it is a member.

You can close your profile for search engines right now in the settings (for free) - this option was added just the other day. In this case, your profile will be available only to those who already have an account on the network - this is how Odnoklassniki worked so far. Unfortunately, by default your profile will be open to everyone (i.e. privacy settings will be changed without your consent), if you do not change this in the settings.

If you want to close your profile for all but friends, then it will cost 25 rubles / less than one dollar (this option has existed for a long time and I have closed my profile from prying eyes).

What will happen if your profile remains in the public domain:

    - at a minimum, your basic data (name and date of birth) will be publicly available with all the ensuing consequences
    - it is quite possible, in the future, additional data will be made publicly available (for example, communities)
    - in the worst case (since it is not known how reliable access to other profile data will be restricted), everything else, including photos, will be publicly available
