Features of the LG Smart TV platform. We
are almost sure that many have already managed to get acquainted, if not with our Smart TV platform, then with a competitive one.
Briefly about the main thing - Smart TV - a platform (software) that turns your TV into a media center.
For those who have not managed to get to know technology in one way or another over the past year, we highlight the main features:
• Internet surfing - a web browser on a TV screen;
• Instant access to various network services, such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Picasa;
• VoD services (video on demand) - viewing TV shows, films, TV shows and other video content directly from the Internet using the services of content providers (ivi.ru; zoomby.ru; tvigle.ru, etc.);
• informative and entertaining games;
• news, weather, TV show;
• Internet TV;
• training programs (for example, yoga, fitness classes);
Access content on other devices in your home network (computers, smartphones, media players and network drives) using DLNA technology.
* Soon - Skype video call support (Skype itself is already there, the camera is on the way).
Naturally, the rest of the TV’s functionality is preserved - from playing analog and digital signals to a 2D to 3D converter (in models with support for 3D mode) and playing files from external sources via HDMI and USB slots.
LG Smart TV is available on both plasma and LED TVs of various diagonals (from 32 to 60 inches).
More and more models are released on the LG Smart TV platform. We have high hopes for the development of technology, investing a lot of money in further development and support, both in terms of software and content distribution.
The activation of the system (Internet services) requires an Internet connection, which is carried out through the Wi-Fi module built into the TV, or through an additional device for the USB port, and, of course, the TV can be connected using a LAN cable.

Our (LG) differences from competitors:
1. Most of all local (Russian) applications (we are unequivocal leaders in this segment).
2. Simple and convenient navigation (this is not a marketing message, but reality - you can test it in any M-Video store) - we, unlike competitors with classic remotes, have our own development - Magic Motion - a unique reminder reminiscent of the functional part of the Nintendo Wii joystick and, in fact, being a convenient mouse for controlling the TV.
3. Functional Smart Share (DLNA) - synchronization of devices into a single media system - from Blu Ray players, Hi-Fi systems, smartphones and laptops.
Overview of current services
Now LG Smart TV is:
1. More than 300 applications in LG Apps - educational applications for children, family quizzes, 3D games, screensavers, weather forecasts, traffic jams, horoscopes and much more.
2. 11 local content providers (VoD services). For comparison, our closest competitor has five such services.
3. Functional browser (alas, we are still working on the latest flash versions, now flash support is up to version 8).
4. Key international social and content networks - Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Picasa. In the future, it is planned to release a local social network (we think you can guess what kind of network we are talking about).
5. Skype client.

• 3D applications (demonstrating the capabilities of the TV and interactive) and screensavers that will decorate the interior (if you bother with this, of course)

Social networks and content networks adapted for TV:
• Facebook and Twitter, combined using the Social Center application - both social. network in one screen without taking off the air. We watch TV, tweet what we watch, see what friends do - multitasking, as it is
• Youtube - the world's largest video hosting in good resolution and convenient interface on your 50-inch screen (well, not all have 50-inch ones, but nonetheless)
