Asus introduced the world's first tablet with Nvidia Tegra 3

After a series of rumors and teasers, Asus did present its new brainchild - ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime with Nvidia Tegra 3 on board, a powerful 4-core processor. Earlier, Asus planned to launch the tablet on November 9th, but in connection with the release of the new version of Android, they decided to postpone the release until December in order to ship the tablet with the fourth version of Android.

    What and how:

Nvidia Tegra 3 is a powerful processor with 4 cores, 1.3 GHz each. The tablet has 1GB of RAM and 32GB or 64GB of internal.
The touch screen has a diagonal of 10.1 and a resolution of 1200 by 800 pixels. The tablet is enclosed in an aluminum case 8.3mm thick and weighs 586g.

Eee Pad Transformer Prime has two cameras: the front, with a resolution of 1.2 megapixels, and the rear, with a resolution of 8 megapixels, which allows you to record video in 1080p format. Also, such “toys” as the GPS module, acceleration and lighting sensor, electronic compass and gyroscope are built into the tablet.

The device has an excellent SonicMaster sound system, as well as a micro HDMI output. The battery capacity of 25 Wh ensures up to 12 hours of operation.

    Dock station:

When connected to the docking station, the user is naturally provided with a keyboard, touchpad, USB 2.0 port, card reader. The docking station will also allow to extend battery life up to 18 hours.

    Price:

The tablet can be purchased at a price of $ 499 for the version with 32GB of internal memory, and $ 599 for the version with 64GB of internal memory, respectively.
However, you will have to pay another $ 149 for the docking station .
In my opinion, the price for a tablet with such characteristics is very tasty, and I'm sure ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime will be very popular.
