What devices will get Ice Cream Sandwich?
Android 4.0 is coming and it promises to be beautiful. But which phones will be updated to the latest version of the mobile platform from Google?
Based on the statements of the companies, Engadget blog compiled a list of devices for which official updates are promised. Some companies have not yet announced their intentions, so the list is preliminary.
Asus
Official statement:
Google recently introduced the latest update for Android - Ice Cream Sandwich, which has some interesting new features and capabilities. At ASUS, we pride ourselves on providing excellent opportunities to use our products, thanks to frequent updates that further expand our product capabilities. We are pleased to confirm support for Ice Cream Sandwich for the ASUS Eee Pad family - our goal is to provide the latest Android update for the Eee Pad Series, but so far we can’t give a release date. LG
Official statement:
LG strongly denies rumors that LG will not provide an Ice Cream Sandwich OS update for the LG Optimus 2X. These rumors are NOT true. LG is currently in the process of planning an update for Ice Cream Sandwich OS for the LG Optimus 2X, as well as for other high-end LG smartphones. Details of the Ice Cream Sandwich OS update schedule for specific models will be announced after Google publicly releases Ice Cream Sandwich OS. Please stay tuned for new updates from LG.

We confirmed that DROID RAZR / Motorola RAZR, DROID BIONIC and Motorola XOOM (all versions) will receive an upgrade to ICS ... we did not confirm that any devices will not receive ICS.

Samsung Mobile USA has not made any official announcements about plans to update any products in the USA on Ice Cream Sandwich. We will inform our customers as soon as we have more information.

Official statement:
Sony Ericsson is currently updating all of its 2011 Xperia smartphones with Gingerbread 2.3.4. This update will be available in stages in some markets. After Gingerbread 2.3.4, we plan to upgrade our 2011 Xperia smartphones to the next Android platform, which will be available to us.

ZTE has not made an official statement about Ice Cream Sandwich or when we will introduce new products with an updated OS. However, we continue to work closely with Google to provide the best Android experience on all our devices and with all our partners.

UPD 2 : On the HTC Russia Facebook page , information appeared that during the first wave of updates, HTC Sensation, HTC Sensation XL and HTC Sensation XE, as well as HTC Rezound, HTC EVO 3D, HTC EVO Design 4G and HTC Amaze 4G will receive updates. (thanks DaemonI for the link)
