Wizee Shopping - Transformation of Consciousness

    A little over 4 months ago I wrote about the project of my friends “Wizee Shopping”, a mobile application that always allows you to have maps of shopping centers on hand, keep abreast of promotions, discounts, events of shopping centers, remember the parking place, see which of your friends is in the shopping center, find out the movie schedule, view photos of collections ... Now the project team wants to share with the residents of the Habr about what happened during these 4 months after the Habra effect)))


    Our company is developing. During the last publication on Habré, something has changed (for example, the application itself and our attitude to some things), something hasn’t (it still seems to us that we can do better and more). This is what we have today.

    We added to the application almost everything that we promised. For instance:
    • Now you can see which friends of Facebook and Vkontakte are near you in the shopping center, as well as find out which shopping centers your friends go to and when. You can meet and shop together, you can just have fun with shopping-stalking - to whom you like more.
    • Using the application, you can see photos of collections of individual brands. An irreplaceable thing when, for example, a girl drags you to the next "Zara" - "just to see." Poke a button on her smartphone, let her look, without leaving the food court.
    • Recently, a movie schedule with a detailed description of films has been available in the application.
    • Improved design. Smartphone users can appreciate such things.
    • A number of small functions were added, for example, selected discounts and shopping centers, keyword search, and overall performance became better.

    Currently, 45 shopping centers in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Novosibirsk are available in Wizee.

    We actively cooperate with more than 80 brands that provide us with photographs of collections and any other information.

    But what are we all about Wisey and about Wisey, telling about ourselves is much more pleasant. Now we will talk about how the work on Wisey has changed us and our attitude to some things.

    Users


    When the application just started, we did our best to lure everyone passing through with the iPhone and Android into the application. We believed that, on average, the most courageous team members on the way to and from work can find 2 people a day. We have three courageous. Thus, it turns out 2 users * 30 days * 3 = 180 users per month. Of course, we understood that 180 users a month is a bit. However, for us it was our very first users - music for the ears of any startup.

    We recruited in public transport and on the street, in cafes and cinemas, in clubs and in libraries, even molested in elevators and processed in the doorways. If earlier we chose the girls whom we would like to get to know by grace, then at that time our eyes glanced along the passers-by in search of a suitable telephone receiver. We even learned to recognize the phone model by the person’s face!

    Today a day more people download the application than we could recruit in a few months. Therefore, it no longer makes sense to run through the streets for all the owners of iPhones and androids. However, even now, if you understand that the application will be useful to a person, I would like to take his phone from him and quickly install Wisey there.

    It also happens that you approach a person to tell you about Wizee, and he shows you the application already installed on his phone. Some even claim that they are actively using it.

    Once we (the development team) were even recognized in a Moscow cafe. Perhaps the reason for this is too loud and often spoken the word "Wise", but we still attribute this success to our own account.

    Each of us tells our friends and acquaintances what we are doing, and, of course, there is great demand from them. If someone after the second reminder does not install the application, he is dead for us. However, he can easily come to life by installing Wise, but still they are not joking with such things. If someone does not know how to install applications, we do it ourselves. If someone does not have a suitable phone, we buy him one.

    During the existence of Wise, we received about 500 reviews in the app store and the android market.
    The most critical in the App Store is as follows:

    the most incomprehensible in the App Store:
    "Olichka, here I am, too, that wind the self !!! And if this means nothing to him ... I will suffer again !!! But the fact that there is a chance of being close to him does not leave me !!! I want his step to a meeting !!! If this happens, I will be in seventh heaven !!! Only his step is needed ... at least a little ... A modest little step like this !!! Then I’ll do it all myself !!! ”(this is she about Wise, most likely)

    I would also like to note how the attitude of people to our application has changed. When we started working on Wise, a lot of people were skeptical about it - experts, investors, shops, shopping centers (in general, everything except users and relatives). Like, the application will be useless - and so there are maps and navigators. However, now the shops and shopping centers themselves are asking us to add them to our application. For experts and investors, the issue of relevance also disappeared. What will happen next, see soon.

    Finally, I would like to share information about the habra effect. On the day of the article, the application was downloaded by more than 1000 people.
