“+1” and “Like” in the Chrome bar
A couple of days ago, a new extension appeared in the extension directory for Google Chrome , whose potential could be promising.
It adds a +1 button to the browser panel, allowing you to share any web page in just one simple click. As if you clicked the +1 button on the site, readers of your feed on Google+ and, of course, the search giant itself would know about it. Theoretically, such a function could prove to be a powerful tool for enhancing Google’s influence in the social media market, especially given its promises to increase the +1 vote for ranking sites in search results.
Today, Facebook developers responded to this initiative with a similar extension.with the “Like” button. Similarly, it allows you to click “Like” on any web page using the button on the Chrome browser panel.
When surfing the net, both extensions show the number of people who already liked the page you are on. In this regard, perhaps the most interesting thing here is the issue of privacy. From the agreements it follows that both this and the other extension send all the addresses of the pages you visited to Google and Facebook, respectively.
Social networks are developing, and if before their users were interested - what this or that person likes, what kind of music he listens to and what school he studied at, then now everything is moving towards the realization of another interest: which page he is currently watching. So far, however, only if the watcher wants it. But maybe only for now?
