Mozilla introduced screenshots of Firefox for tablets

The popularity of tablets is growing every day, and despite the fact that some companies have not gone this business (HP), every month manufacturers announce more and more tablet PCs. Naturally, a tablet without software is just a piece of plastic (well, a metallized piece of plastic in some cases), and there is work for software developers as well. Mozilla Corporation is trying to keep up with the times, and now the community of developers Mozilla Mobile Team is in full swing working on a new project Firefox for tablets.

Yesterday, several screenshots of the new version of this browser were presented, plus the developers talked a little about the project. The tablet browser is the result of the “evolution of the mobile version,” with some improvements. Improvements take into account the increase in the size of the display, in relation to mobile phones, and add several useful features.

Unfortunately, the developers did not provide much information, but there are already screenshots, so we can judge what the future Firefox for tablets will be like. The screenshots show that the browser interface has much in common with the overall design style of Android Honeycomb. Actually, it couldn’t be otherwise, since “Tablet Firefox” is intended for tablets with Android OS.

Mozilla's browser release date for tablets is still unknown, unfortunately.
