Watching investor statistics about RIM fluctuations is both fun and frustrating. The latest surprise in the form of Google’s acquisition of Motorola Mobility led to an increase in RIM shares. The main thought must have been: “Since Google buys Motorola, the patents must be worth something - RIM has more patents and more phones on the market, which means they may not be as hopeless as we thought.”

Of course , nothing has changed for RIM other than investor relations, which led to growth. But it’s too early to rejoice, some people think that RIM will do poorly because they don’t have partners. (What about HP?)

It's nice to see RIM doing well now!
