Sandy Bridge support in linux kernel 3.1

On August 8, kernel.org released the kernel version 3.1-rc1. After compiling and updating the kernel on Ubuntu 11.04, Natty Narwahl was pleased to find that a number of critical graphics problems were resolved. It was normal to get the 11th Ubuntu to work on my core i7-2600 Sandy Bridge with previous kernel versions.

Now you can safely wait for the October release of "Oneiric Ocelot", the risk of the need to replace the iron is leveled.
