Symfony2: Beta 1 is available!
- Transfer
A month ago, I (Fabien Potencier - ca. Perevi..) Said that the final version of Symfony2 delayed. Then we were looking forward to merging with the new form framework. And now I can tell you that we did not wait in vain. Bernhard has finished his fantastic work and I am sure that you will love the new version.
All Symfony 2.0 features are now available. This means that finally we can enter the long awaited beta / RC release cycle, which will eventually lead to the release of the brilliant version 2.0.
Beta means that not all features are still stable. Beta also means that we will violate backward compatibility only for important reasons and all these violations will be explained and documented in the UPDATE file to facilitate the migration of existing applications.(Finally, you won’t need to track down what and why broke down in commits - approx. Transl.)
Download Symfony 2.0 Standard Edition beta1, read a quick tour and plunge into a book.
Oh! And don't forget to give us feedback. Tell us about the remaining pain points, create tickets for mistakes , offer patches .
As with preview releases, we will release new Beta / RC releases frequently, perhaps once a week. And depending on the reviews that will be, I hope that the Beta phase will end within a month or so. The first release candidate will be released when all blocking errors are closed and the documentation is complete.
(Do not kick much, the first public translation - approx. Transl.)
