The story of a startup or where to find an investor ?!

It was evening, it was necessary to do for everyone!

So, today I would like to tell our story about how we managed to attract the necessary investments for our mega development!
Actually, the idea of the project itself is quite simple and concise - the organization of an automated taxi service. That is, anyone who wants to can make a request, “I am going ...” further indicates the address, and those who want to earn extra money by a private taxi keep track of whether this wonderful passenger is located next to them.

Next, we will describe step by step what actions were taken to search for investments in our startup project.
    1. Undoubtedly, a prototype project was prepared. You should not go to the investor with bare hands.
    2. Sent applications for participation in all offline startup events (harvest, startup point and others). I must say at such events it is probably worth looking for a team, for investors in the hall 1-2 people for which more than 30-50 people gather. In principle, we managed to find an excellent developer at one of these “gatherings”, however, is it worth visiting them to find investments is an individual question for everyone and in general depends on the specifics of your project.
    3. We walked around old acquaintances and friends, received in response only "guys, money from the air is not an interesting occupation."

It seemed to us that the problem was most likely in our idea and we seriously thought about whether to continue the search for investments and the development of the project itself. Before putting everything aside, I decided to google it again, as a result of which I came across several sites related to the topic of investment search.

    1. Napartner.ru - exchange of startup projects
    2. Business bomb - a portal for entrepreneurs
    3. Finatics - a business portal

It seemed to me that all the sites are good and we added our project to all of the above, suddenly we are lucky. Less than a week has passed since the publication of information about our project, as we began to receive questions from potential investors regarding the concept of our idea. Applications were mainly received from Napartner, having studied a bit of their investor base, we realized that you can wait for clear skies overhead indefinitely (investors are more likely to wait for offers from startups rather than vice versa) and have started a manual search mode for an investor, their catalog can be found here ... www. napartner.ru/catalog/investor/0

Every day I believed that just about the next investor would agree to provide the required amount. And then one fine morning we received a long-awaited message from Dmitry Ch. “Hello, do you have an executive summary? Where can we meet to discuss your idea? ” Fortunately, these metrics and an executive summary were already ready, we collected all the essentials and moved to Moscow in the Novokosino district. The conversation took place, as we later learned, with fairly influential personalities in the field of “taxi business”, we briefly talked about the investment attractiveness of our project, partially touched on the issue of monetization and other issues. Of course, the answer “We will think” was to be expected, but a few days after our meeting, Dmitry Ch. Called us and told us the good news about attracting the necessary amount of investment.

After everything I’ve experienced, I want to say that the future of your ideas is in your hands, however, finding an investor today is a very painful question, I hope my story will help you too.
