U-Socket - a regular electrical outlet with USB

This device, which is a kind of hybrid electrical outlet and USB, was shown to the world a long time ago, a couple of years ago. And only now the manufacturing company began to supply its products. I don’t know what caused this delay - lack of funding or some technical problems (although, what technical problems are there, this is not a very complicated device, is it?), But the device still hit the market. By the way, the connector is compatible with USB 3.0, and at the output we have 12 W and 2.4 A.

If nothing is connected to the USB connector, it automatically disconnects - this was intended by the manufacturer, who wanted to save money for potential customers. In general, such an outlet is intended to replace the usual, familiar there. Now, according to the manufacturer, demand exceeds supply, since each manufactured device undergoes rigorous technical testing.

Again, it is surprising that the manufacturer’s desire to thoroughly check every device whose design is not much more complicated than the design of a conventional outlet. The same iPads are stamped with millions, and here - the sockets are checked so carefully that they can not give out tens of thousands of units.

The cost of one U-Socket is $ 25.95. If the front panel breaks, then the manufacturer undertakes to replace it for only 2.99 US dollars.

In general, a rather interesting device, and it’s hard to say whether the U-Socket will become popular or not.
