NASA's well-known scientific organization is quite active on the Internet, there is a lot of interesting information on their website . Among other things, there is such a site in NASA - APOD - Astronomy Picture of the Day. An unusual and interesting photo of our Universe appears in it every day of decent quality. From the most mundane to far-distant galaxies. A photo and description of what is happening here and why it looks like this.

I love astronomy somewhat, but I have not read / learned almost anything in recent years. But APOD read, sometimes showed friends especially beautiful photos and told what was going on there. Then I decided to translate APOD into Russian, but then stopped: There was a Russian-language mirror. Unfortunately, the mirror still gives away pure html and does not attract as much attention and visitors as its older English brother. No RSS feeds yet. And the universe is still infinitely beautiful.

I decided to repeat my undertaking and publish materials on my website, in the APOD section in Russian . This time I will not give an accurate translation of the original text, but rather “retell” in my own words, adding something interesting from myself. But in the end, I will translate information from several sources. There is RSS and an e-mail subscription . Added Twitter bot @ruAPOD .

At least once a day, it is useful to feel part of a beautifully endless and infinitely beautiful universe.
