Introduced LibreOffice New UI Layout
Someone Paulo Jose drew several LibreOffice user interface templates . He said his main inspiration was Blender 's interface .
Made by: Inkscape / GIMP
Theme GTK2: Atolm
Native Icons: Faenza-Dark
Pictures are clickable (traffic!).
Light theme: Dark theme: SVG versions of mockups are also available. SVG1 , SVG2 (I hope devianart, will not get mad at hotlinking) It is important to note that Paulo himself is not a member of the LibreOffice development team. That is, the layouts are unofficial .
But personally, I’m sure that this approach to the interface of the office software package is very, very good. Perhaps the guys from The Document Foundation will take a closer look at him?
upd .: I tried to reach them through IRC. One of the developers said that in the development mailing list there is already a discussion about this mockup:
SkyManPHP : What and who should do to apply this layout as the real face of LibreOffice?
jcorrius : Do you mean the technical part?
SkyManPHP : Yes. In principle, the point of view of management, too.
jcorrius : First, take a look at the vcl modules and see how they work. Then take the toolbox (toolbox) and cui-modules.
SkyManPHP : No, no. I meant that the developers of LibreOffice should do this.
jcorrius : Then you should interest them and justify your point of view about it.
SkyManPHP : How much will it cost?
jcorrius : It's not about the money, because this project is focused on a volunteer approach. And we have our own priorities, so this should be discussed - how what you are talking about can fit into these priorities.
SkyManPHP : You're a LibreOffice developer, aren't you? Can this fit into your personal priorities? :) And it's not how much money? ;)
jcorrius: There are still many bugs in the main features that need to be fixed, so this is perhaps the most important priority. But I see, there is a discussion about this on the mailing list, so you should connect.
SkyManPHP : Wow, thanks! Can you send me a reference?
jcorrius : SkyManPHP: hold: listarchives.documentfoundation.org/www/discuss/msg04496.html
upd2 .: And here the layout author himself wrote to the LibreOffice developer mailing list .
