New Facebook Profiles
Facebook programmers have finished work on new profiles, which will be enabled by default for all users by the end of the year. Gradual migration began this morning for selected users, but everyone can turn on a new profile without waiting in line. There are three major changes.
1. A brief business card. Listing in two or three lines of the main facts from a person’s biography and photos that he considers important (at first the system automatically selects the last pictures marked with a user’s name).

2. Favorite friends. Now everyone can make a list of best friends who will always be displayed in the profile. Separately - lists of relatives, classmates, work colleagues.

3. Individual projects in the profile. In the new profile, you can describe in more detail what you do at work. Indicate the names of specific projects and the names of your colleagues who are participating in the same project. For example, one of the developers of new profiles indicated in his profile this project (Profile revamp) and a list of programmers who also participated in the development.

In addition to projects at work, you can describe your hobbies, list special courses at the university, etc. - all indicating friends with whom you are doing this.
Along with the three main innovations, some additional features have been added, for example, quick display of your common interests on the page of any user, endless scrolling of photos, new features on the people search page (search by school, city, etc.).
If you have not yet been transferred to a new profile, then here you can find out more about the innovations, and on this page you can join the protest group advocating the return of the old system.
