ZTE Android smartphones for 6000 rubles

Yesterday, the director of the department of marketing of subscriber equipment Andrey Chukaev MTS shared his plans for the company to begin selling Android smartphones for 6000 rubles in November. With such a price, they will become the cheapest Android smartphones on the Russian market.

According to Chukaev, phones manufactured by the Chinese company ZTE with Qualcomm chip, 3.5 "diagonal, resolution 320 x 240 pixels, 3.2 MP camera, 2 GB SD memory card is included.

A small study showed that the ZTE arsenal seems to have there are only four Android smartphones: ZTE Smooth, ZTE Blade, ZTE Mercury and ZTE Racer, none of which are suitable for the above characteristics.

An entry-level model is considered the ZTE Racer. It corresponds to the declared characteristics (320 x 240 pixels, 3.2 MP camera, Qualcomm processor), but it has a screen of 2.8 ". Perhaps the MTS management has messed up something and they will bring just such devices to Russia?

If so, then add that the ZTE Racer runs on the Android 2.1 platform, also supports 3G, WiFi (b / g) and Bluetooth 2.0.

With the 3.5 "display there is only the ZTE Blade, but it is more expensive and has a screen resolution of 480 x 800.

If the representative of MTS not mistaken, it means that ZTE will release something new for the Russian market. For example, it can adapt one of its other smartphones to Android.

Selling Chinese smartphones at a low price is a normal practice for telecom operators who work in the low-cost segment. For example, in the UK, the operator Three sells a ZTE Racer for £ 100 without a contract (but you still have to buy a case for £ 10). Or give free with a contract of 15 pounds per month.

What will be the additional conditions when buying a smartphone in MTS (will there be a special tariff plan, etc.) - is not reported.
