Post Office: MFP for a million
A new interesting invention pleased us Dagestan scientists.
Yes, everything is correct, it is called ... a postman .
I thought they reinvented the fax, but in fact it turned out to be much more interesting.
We already managed to tell about this invention on television, but so far no one has written anything about it, we will correct the situation. Under the cut, you will also see a grand revelation from other Habra users.
In the conditions of the modern highly developed market of postal services, the unique postal express system Pochtofon has been developed, which has no analogues in the world, and is intended for delivery to the addressee of a letter sealed in an envelope within 1 hour from the moment of its sending, while ensuring its confidentiality. Such forwarding of the letter fully guarantees the recipient’s safety against terrorist acts (forwarding various viruses, bacteria, and poisonous substances in an envelope).
A sheet of information is inserted into the postman to send correspondence, where the text is scanned and translated into electronic form. A letter can also be typed using the keyboard of the mailer. Then the sender types the address on the keyboard, and the e-mail arrives at the post office corresponding to the specified address to receive correspondence. In it, electronic correspondence is automatically printed, sealed in an envelope with an address and displayed from the postal machine installed in the post office. Sealed correspondence is delivered to the postman for delivery to the addressee. Shipping costs will not exceed existing postage rates. To send correspondence, instead of a mailer, you can use a computer connected to the Internet,
But in essence, we have what can be done now with improvised means.
We take an MFP for 3,000 rubles, take a router for 2,000 rubles, connect, spend a day making a web interface and voila: we can send a scanned email to any e-mail. If you spend more time, then you can screw the recognition.
Recall that the super-invention is able to receive messages, add auto-check e-mail and print messages.
One of the things that the system boasts about is security , well ... add message encryption.
And our inventors only took a prototype of 900 thousand rubles, not without grants.
Moreover, the total cost of the investment project is 45 million rubles.
The project includes two stages:
Who did not understand: we invent bicycles that should stand between traditional mail and electronic, in fact, such a proxy: you write a letter, the letter goes to e-mail, from e-mail it is printed and given by the postal worker in his hands. Why - it’s not clear. Who needs it - too. Most of all, it is not clear who gives the grants and whether there is an investor.

Upd. It turns out that the invention itself is already in its fourth year, now a prototype has been made.
Upd2. The author himself on YouTube posted old stories about his inventions, including the Upd3
postman. Habrausers noma4i and ldv290384e told us that in fact, highly respected scientists have followed the already proven path of Belarusian inventors of INTEGRAL monitors: the postal service is nothing but Kyocera MailPrinter MP-WGPwith the sticker "postman". So here, our inventors apparently want to become resellers of the device, made already in 1999.
Upd3.After many days. The inventor responded to comments on youtube .
I quote: “7 images have been patented for the method and apparatus for receiving and sending the PochtoFon system. You can see the principle of the working app. For sending on a computer chart, and the app for receiving should be able to print letters, postcards and photos, and seal them into an envelope without operator access. We needed 3 times more money for this app than we had. Therefore, we took Kuoser as a prototype, a computer, wrote software, created a website and showed that, in principle, the system works and allows you to get rid of transp. compose. "
PSI thought about where to write - in humor or in gadgets, I settled on the latter, although the smile still does not leave my face.

That's what the authors themselves say about it

We did it for 5000, and you?

The project includes two stages:
