Ubuntu Tweak has the ability to restore the desktop
Ubuntu Tweak is a tool for the Ubuntu OS that allows you to configure the system, desktop settings, and much more.
The new version of Ubuntu Tweak 0.5.6 beta has the opportunity to make a copy of the desktop with its settings and parameters, and if in the future you want to return to these saved parameters - no problem! A new feature is called Desktop Recovery. Developers warn that the beta may not be stable. The current version of the program supports versions of Ubuntu only starting from 9.10.
To install the program, execute the following three commands in the terminal.
Add PPA to application sources:
Update:
And download with installation:
