A video was posted on the official BlackBerry blog , which demonstrates the interface of the upcoming BlackBerry 6:
The new version of the operating system for smartphones from Research In Motion will be focused on touch devices. As you can see, half of the screen is occupied by the panel with the most commonly used applications. The notification bar is not located at the very top of the screen, as in Android, but below. Multitouch is supported, the browser is updated, the media player is redesigned, the Social Feeds application for interacting with social networks has appeared. A quick content search system, a new application for working with SMS and MMS messages, as well as the simultaneous publication of messages in several services are shown.
It is promised that BlackBerry 6 will be released before the end of summer and, probably, at the same time, we can expect the release of new devices from RIM.
