The supercomputer in Yekaterinburg has more than 400 quad-core Intel processors. The cost of a supercomputer, software, cooling and power systems is 60-70 million rubles.

    Scientists have declared their desire to create a supercomputer with a capacity of 100 teraflops per second with a storage capacity of 100 terabytes. For these purposes, they needed 700 million rubles.

    In total, there are currently four supercomputers in the Urals Federal District. One of the largest supercomputers in Russia is located in the Federal State Unitary Enterprise RFNC-VNIITF named after Academician E.I. Zababakhin (Snezhinsk, Chelyabinsk Region). Supercomputers also operate at the South Ural State University (Chelyabinsk), the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics, Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Yekaterinburg). Another supercomputer with a capacity of up to 12 teraflops per second was created in Khanty-Mansiysk.
